★★★★ “A show that is as subversive as it is entertaining, the singing is so good it does make one wonder if the production has escaped from a major opera house only to re-emerge in a small, dark pub theatre!" - Spy in the Stalls
★★★★ ½ "A magnificent cast, excellent direction and glorious music in this beautifully romantic and hilariously saucy panto (with knobs on) which does not neglect the expected tropes" - London Pub Theatres
★★★★ “If you’re looking to see a pantomime that not only surpasses your expectation, but sets a higher bar, then this is not one to miss!” - London Theatre Scene
★★★★ “Whatever kind of Christmas we are ultimately permitted, this panto should be on your agenda. In the words of the song, you will ‘Party like it’s 600 AD.” - Plays to See
★★★★ Charles Court Opera always offers a fun-filled, high energy Christmas spoof, and Beowulf meets the high standard that the troupe sets for itself. We highly recommend you join the quest!" - London Living Large
★★★★ "A medieval romp with more than a few surprises up its sleeve... high camp frivolity, some terrible jokes, and a villain that we all love to hate. Stewart J Charlesworth’s costumes and Jo Palmer’s lighting bring a touch of the West End to this beloved fringe venue." - Theatre Weekly
