CCO at Home - during the pandemic
While theatres remained closed, we thought creatively about how to engage with you, our audiences, and our freelance artists, and launched a weekly CCO at Home series.
So many of you were so generous during this challenging time with donations and purchases in our online shop, every penny of which has gone towards our Artist and Team Fund, which gifted over £10,000 to freelancers indeed. As a way of saying thank you, our artists and team members put their heads together to create some enjoyable, informative, and in some cases interactive online resources for you to get involved with, drawing on their skills and hobbies.
These included Cooking and Craft videos, Choral Workshops Online led by English National Opera's chorus master Mark Biggins, Mini recitals and even an introduction to Reflexology.
We also ran (and are still running) a Dial-a-song service, through which you can write to us to arrange for one of our singers to call you, or someone you care about, who misses the sound of singing, or just human connection, for a 5-10 minute chat, and to sing a song or aria.
We are still running this service, and details can be found at the bottom of this page.
